Is There any Science to Prove Jesus Resurrected From the Grave?

There are two kinds of People in the world: 1) those who are seriously searching for hard evidence for something to believe in. 2) those who don’t care about the evidence, they have their minds completely made up already about what they will believe or not, no matter what the facts say.. I am just curious which one you are??

Scientific Evidence by Dr Simon Greenleaf:

This is the Scientific EVIDENCE proving Jesus resurrected from the grave.. This guy helped found Harvard LAW SCHOOL. I think he knows a little something about EVIDENCE...Dr Simon Greenleaf’s famous three-volume work, A Treatise on the Law of Evidence, is still considered one of the greatest single authorities on the subject of Evidence in the entire literature of Legal Procedure. Greenleaf, himself examined the value of the historical evidence for the resurrection of Jesus the Christ to ascertain the truth. He applied the powerful principles of evidence and he recorded his findings in his book, An Examination of the testimony of the Four Evangelists by the Rules of Evidence administered in the Courts of Justice. Greenleaf came to the conclusion that according to the laws of legal evidence used in the courts of law, there is more evidence for the historical fact of the resurrection of Jesus than for just about any other event in history. http://www.av1611.org/resur.html

No one compares to Jesus when it comes to validation of his uniqueness. There are many distorted versions of people claiming to be like Jesus that pre-date Christ. Many myths and fables containing false claims of people who were god-like. What separates the Christ from any other claim is there is scientific evidence anyone can research and validate proving who he was. The only Son of the living God. The ancient writings of the old testament starting with Genesis all the way into the prophets reveal many prophetic evidences that only the Christ fulfilled precisely in every detail. Over 300 individual prophecies were fulfilled by this one man. These prophecies were written hundreds of years before the Christ was born. They ranged from when, where, and how he would be born, to the way he would suffer and die. Over 300 perfectly fulfilled Prophecies that no other man in history has fulfilled. This is scientifically provable to any intelligent person willing to take a serious look at the research. Evidences like this are piled high in favor of the Bible as a reliable record of history and prophecy.

All Languages Began at the Tower of Babel

Introduction

Have you ever wondered how many languages there and where they all come from?

Thesis:

I will disclose all the scientific evidence that shows chronologically how all languages and writing systems developed. I will further tie this research into even more amazing historical evidence that can only be found from one accurate trustworthy source. The Torah is on of the oldest compilation of written records available to man today. This effort will reveal how, why, and where all the languages and writing systems in the world began, as well as establish and verify the Holy Bible as an indispensable source of human knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

This small document has two short parts to it. Part one discusses the scientific discoveries, progression of languages, writing systems and alphabets. Part two elaborates on why the ancient scriptures of the Torah should be considered a reliable resource of information and reveals what is written in this ancient text about this subject.

There is substantial scientific evidence to support the fact that all human languages, writing systems and alphabets emerged simultaneously all around the world, from Europe to Africa and Asia to the Mayan Region, as well as further evidence that clearly discloses the precise details of their origination.

After intro:

Part 1:

First, let’s take a look at the scientific evidence that suggests all the languages and writing systems probably do have one common source by showing and discussing the natural progression of language and writing development.

The oldest writing systems did not use alphabets, but rather simple markings and pictures that represented the objects and ideas of reference.

There are four major writing systems, methods of inscription, that broadly fall into these categories: logographic, syllabic, alphabetic and featural.

Because man uses sounds from his mouth to communicate as well as pictures, a writing system that incorporated both pictures and sounds first emerged. This was a logogram system of writing. So figuratively speaking, a triangle could have meant a tree and a square could have meant a house. There was no alphabet yet.

This naturally developed into a Syllabic system that combined consonant sounds with vowel sounds. So a symbol like “ > ” could have the sound as our modern “ M ” like when a child tries to say, “ Mama.” These symbols were eventually use to represent the first sound of an entire word. So this same symbol “ > ” would be used to represent every word that started with the “ M ” sound, such as Man, Mountain, etc.. But there was still no alphabet at this time yet.

This use of dedicated symbols for specific sounds is what lead to more advance alphabetic system. There are the Abjads and the Abugidas kinds of alphabets. One uses the vowel sound and the other doesn’t. However, writing systems have been around much longer than the alphabetic itself.

They thought for a long time the earliest writings were from 3000 BC in the Mesopotamia. But newer discoveries reveals that writing was taking place much earlier than that.

Some of the oldest know objects with inscriptions on them, excluding primitive caveman art, are the Dispilio Tablet of Europe and a tortoise shell found in China. Dating back into the 6th millennium BC.

Some of the oldest noticeable writings were on tokens used to keep records of ones property, such as land and cattle, as well as a methods accounting for financial purposes, found in the Mesopotamia region during the time of the Sumerians, 4100-3800 BD. Also there were primitive writings found in Turkmenistan, Asia around 4000 BC. Also, Pakistan and India 3400-3500 BC. Mexico and Mesopotamia were writing around 3000 BC

It was during this time that the first writing systems were beginning to be developed. There seems to be a simultaneous effort in various parts all around the world concentrated to establish a functioning writing system between 4100 and 3000 BC. During this time languages and writing systems really exponentially proliferated out of necessity for trade and newly forming economies.

When we take into account the timing of the story of the Tower of Babel dating around 4000 BC recorded in the Torah, these discoveries correspond perfectly. I will discuss this more later.

The inscriptions and sign of the Sumerians were adopted by the Semitic people of the Mesopotamia 3000 BC. This corresponds to the oldest hieroglyphics dating to 3200 BC, where they discovered a full alphabet.

Who had the first alphabet is still unclear to me. I believe they were really developed around the same times out of desperation and necessity. There was an alphabet found with the hieroglyphics in Egypt around 3200 BC. However, the oldest writing and alphabetic system was used by the Semitic people of the Mesopotamia around 3000 BC.

The oldest writing systems with an alphabet seems to be the Proto-Sinaitic scripts from which we get the first written language to develop called Akkadian. The Proto-Sinaitic scripts split and developed into Canaanite, Middle Egypt and Sinai. Proto- Canaanite is where we get Phoenician and Hebrew Alphabets.

The Proto-Sinaitic script is the presumably alphabetic script of a number of Middle Bronze Age inscriptions in the Sinai, Middle Egypt, and Canaan. It is ancestral to the Semitic abjads as they developed by the Early Iron Age, and via Phoenician and Aramaic to nearly all modern alphabets.
Proto-Sinaitic (named for the inscription corpus at Serabit el-Khadim, Sinai) is the stage of the alphabet at the end of the Middle Bronze Age. During the Late Bronze Age, the script splits into the South Arabian and the Canaanite groups. The latter group is influenced by the Byblos syllabary, evolving into Phoenician proper by 1100 BCE. The term "Proto-Canaanite is extended to inscriptions of Canaan and Syria dating to the Late Bronze Age (13th to 12th century).

There have been two major discoveries of inscriptions identified as this script, the first in the winter of 1904-1905 in Sinai by Hilda and Flinders Petrie, dated to the mid 19th century BCE, and more recently in 1999 in Middle Egypt by John and Deborah Darnell, dated to the 18th century BC.

Before alphabetic system:
Europe and china 6000 BC
Agrarian society, Sumerians, 4100-3800 BD
Turkmenistan, Asia around 4000 BC
Pakistan and India 3400-3500 BC
Mexico and Mesopotamia 3000 BC

First written language with an alphabets:
Pakistan and India 3400-3500 BC (Primitive Alphabet)
Egypt Hieroglyphs 3200 BC (Primitive Alphabet)
India dating 2600-1900 BC
Proto- Sinaitic 1900 BC
Proto-Canaanite 1700 BC
Hebrew 1700 BC
China had writing system around 1500 BC
Crete had writing system 1650-1500 BC
Phoenicians 1300- 1150 BC
Greek 900-750 BC

Concerning the origin of all these various languages and writing systems, it is notably captivating and intellectually arresting to see their sudden simultaneous appearance all over the world. To many scientists this sharp and sudden emergence came byway of enormous pressure and necessity, clearly indicating a common proximity of the human condition relating to the imperative need for writing.

What could explain the reason behind this occurrence? Let us take a look deeper into the evidence that is available through another powerful yet often overlooked resource.

Part 2 the Torah, the oldest reliable ancient scriptures known to man.

Now I will reveal what is recorded in the ancient scriptures of the Holy Torah. The Torah is the oldest reliable piece of ancient scripture known to mankind. It has been preserved with amazingly intricate, delicately precise methods. No other book in history has been so worshiped as divine. It has been around since the formation of the first writing systems. If we are to trust any ancient writings at all, these ancients scriptures must also be seriously considered.

In the first book, Genesis, You will discover that in the Garden of Eden that man’s life was perfect. The trees and vegetation grew all the fruit and food they could ever need. Animals reproduced on their own and water flowed from a pure river. Everyone shared one mind, thoughts and peaceful spirit living in a paradise on earth.

Because there was perfect unity and utopia, I believe there was no need for written language. The word of God was spoken directly into the mind and spirit of man. Man used 100% of his brain capacity, so I believe telepathy through the spirit was the main method of perfect communication between man and God. There was no need for intricate financial record keeping, trade agreements, property settlements and legal documents. God spoke words to Adam and through faith he believe God and began to grow in knowledge and understanding.

But when man decided to distrust and disobey God, by listening to another source of knowledge, man suddenly fell from this perfect paradise. Difficulties and complications arose and there immediately became a need for a lower level of communication on matters that had never been of any concern before. Man now had to work hard and plant his own vegetation and cultivated the earth. He had to tend the animals and make sure the multiplied properly for his needs.

This corresponds perfectly with most common scientific assumptions. As the evidence shows, it is common knowledge and opinion of many scientists that the written language was necessitated by the increasing needs found in any society, economy, financial records, legal matters, trade agreement, property settlement, recording history, etc. Also, languages and writing systems seem to simultaneously appear in a relatively short time frame, as the scientific evidence certainly reveals.

In Genesis Chapter 11 we find the unequivocal explanation to this perplexing puzzle of how, why, and where all the languages and writing systems in the world began. After Noah’s ark God told man to go forth and spread out into the world and multiply. Man, again, decided to disobey God and build his own Tower and make himself out to be like God. God was displeased saying. “they all speak one language and nothing is impossible for them. Let us go and confuse their language.” That is why the city was called Babel, because that is where the LORD confused the people with different languages. In this way he scattered them all over the world.

Mankind had suddenly become primitive in every way. It was imperative to create and devise some type of communications with one another, even for the most basic of needs; food, shelter and clothing. This is why we see a progression in the writings systems that start with simple pictures, that develop into a more syllabic and consonant sounding system made with simple grunts and blurts, which eventually lead to more complicated alphabetic systems. There are now more than 6000 distinct dialect in the world.

I hope this has been piercing and mind opening to those who have never considered before how very uniquely practical and vitally important the ancient scriptures of the Bible are.

In conclusion, if you follow and believe the scientific evidence, it doesn’t take very much effort of faith to realized the superb unmatched quality of understanding to be gained by studying the Bible.

If we ignored the account recorded in genesis Chapter 11 we would never fully come to know the origin of all languages and writing systems. We will be left in the dark completely ignorant to the truth. If we consider the ancient text we will grow in knowledge and wisdom because it reveals exactly how, why, and where all the languages and writing systems in the world began, which is amazingly supported by the evidence. If you have never considered the Bible as a trustworthy reliable source of information before maybe it is time you did.

What is Faith? How do we get it? Where does it come from?

What is Faith? How do we get it? Where does it come from?

I will demonstrate logically that everyone has and uses faith everyday all the time. Even atheistic evolutionists and secular scientists have and use faith. Faith is not only a Christian concept, Designated for believers in GOD, but a mechanism of the human soul used to gather knowledge and decipher what one will believe as truth. People can have faith in the most absurd ideas. That is simply where they choose to place it.

Where does Faith come from? Romans 12:3 God has given every man a measure of faith. What is Faith? Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the Substance of things Hoped for and the Evidence of things not seen.
Faith is increased by what we hear and are taught: Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.

The Greek word for Substance means: underlying reality behind anything, objective reality giving a firm guarantee and the basis for confidence or assurance ground for hope and foundation.
The Greek word for Evidence means: having been tried and tested for the purpose of proving, means of proof.

Using these definitions we can see that no one is exempt from using faith. For an example, Our basic common knowledge of life is done so byway of faith. When we were little babes we were taught what colors were, math, and what the animals were. All this new knowledge was taught to us by words that we heard. As a little child we’ve never seen or heard these things before. “Things not seen” Heb. 11:1. So we began to utilize the measure of faith God has given us at birth and began to build our knowledge based of what we believe to be truth.

So anything that you hope for and believe is real, anything you trust as reality is done so by faith. Even if you place your faith in a lie, you are still believing with confidence that what you trust is a reality.

For instance, Atheists who believe in the deceptive false science of Evolution, although we know there is absolutely no real scientific evidence to support this absurd world view, they place their unwavering Faith in it as an absolute truth. As a matter of fact it takes more faith for them to believe in Evolution than it does to believe that God created the world. There is no concrete evidence for evolution and an enormous amount to support Intelligent Design.

More examples to come later.

What is a soul? How do you know you have a soul?

What is a soul? How do you know you have a soul?
By Levi Price

This is an attempt to describe and identify what a human souls could be. Without using any scientific evidence other than sound logic, I will simply offer a viable explanation revealing the possible characteristics of what a soul probably is. I will further explain how we collect our knowledge and discuss how faith is mandatory for this process by everyone.

Critics of faith love to argue over this topic. They tauntingly ask, Where is the evidence that a soul even exists? What is a soul and where is it?

If a man has his heart hard and mind closed, even the clearest most obvious evidence will not convince him of any truth, so I am not really concern about the following statement: I will not claim to be able to prove with any certainty, through the conventional scientific method, what a soul is or whether we have one or not, but I can offer those who have curious hungry minds some delicious ‘food for thought.’

This is by no means scientific evidence, but rather a logical explanation that might seem reasonable. Just because something is logical doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s scientific. On the other side of the coin, just because something is a so called “science” doesn’t mean it is very logical. One thing that is certain, you can argue the differences.

I prefer to engage this topic by first logically demonstrating what I believe to be a “Soul.” If we can grasp any sensible description of what a soul might be, then I believe the other subordinate questions concerning the soul will be subsequently subdued.

First we must make the case to identify “what a soul is.”

Identifying a soul is very similar to identifying in space what is called a Black Hole. In the beginning scientists strongly denied that Black Holes even existed. Even if they do exist, they claimed, no one could ever see one because of its nature. It is perpetually black and swallows all the light around it making it impossible to see. Well, now virtually all scientist agree through new evidences brought forth from continuously patient study, and faith they exist, that Black Holes do indeed exist. Because of their presence near other objects in space, scientists have been able to measure their enormous influence on the matter around them. They can now understand and indirectly see them.

By this great example we can make a simple comparison to the questions concerning the soul, What is a Soul? Does it exist? We can not directly see a soul but I believe we can identify it by measuring it’s direct effects on the characteristics of human behavior.

If we were to answer the question, What is a human soul? We could say it is man’s unique characteristics, qualities and special abilities of the conscious mind. But what is that and what does something like this look like?

I find it interesting that I have been able to identify 6 of these unique qualities, especially since the number of man is 6 and on the 6th day, according to ancient scriptures, man was created.

Here are the 6 qualities that I have identified. I trust and believe these characteristics describe what a human soul is:

1. Man’s ability to preceive and understand, what he is experiencing through his senses, to have consciousness. For instance: I think therefore I am, If I jump off this cliff I am sure I will die. If I touch that fire it will burn me. I need to solve certain problem in order to stay alive. What is hunger? Why do I hunger? How do I solve these problem.

2. Man’s ability to ask questions, to wonder and be curious about his experience. For instance, How did I get here? Where am I from? What is my purpose? What happens after I die?

3. Man’s ability to reason logically and place values on what he experiences. For instance, How do you know 2+2=4? What is red vs. Yellow? Which way is up and down? How do you know these things? I saw a man fall from a cliff and die. How do I know that will happen to me?

4. Man’s ability to choose by free will his own preferences and values through his experience. How does one determine that he prefers chocolate ice cream over vanilla? How does one determine to not believe in the values of others?

5. Man’s ability to imagine, create, dream, set and accomplish goals. Where did man get the idea that we could fly? What is the imagination. Where does it come from?

6. Man’s ability to have faith in the things he values. Faith placed in the knowledge gained after concluding the asnwers to such questions: How did you come to even be curious about what a soul is? Why did you ask the question, what is a soul? Why did you want to ask that question? Where did your desire to understand what a soul is come from?

If we can identify what a soul is, the abilities to be aware, comprehend and learn, set and accomplish goals, ask questions then pursue and understand the answers, choose what to value or not and put our faith in it, then we might be able to logically prove that humans do indeed have souls.

Now you have a choice. You can dismiss all these special qualities and characteristics of human behavior and deny that they represent anything at all that might look like the effects of a human soul, or you can digest and process this information as logical evidence to describe what a human soul could be. I don’t really care. I am just bored today and having fun.

If we adhere to the previous line of thinking we can now answer the other question concerning the soul, How do you know you have a soul? If the previous observations of man’s unique qualities do seem reasonable in their attempt to describe what a human soul could be, then simply ask yourself the following: Do I have any of these same qualities? There is your answer.

However, to convince anyone of anything viable to be knowledge using scientific evidence in the end will be futile, because each person will ultimately have to place their investment of faith in the final conclusion.

In conclusion, keep in mind this very important, yet often overlooked fact. It is impossible to trust or believe in anything that does not require some level of faith. We all have a measure of faith. Faith comes by hearing and learning. We place our faith in what we trust and believe, the knowledge we have gained from our relationships and experiences of life.

All knowledge comes from the perception our own experiences, the testimonies of the experiences of others and the knowledge that we record in books or some other form of media. What we have learned becomes our knowledge base and we naturally place our faith in this knowledge. Faith is believing in what we have experienced, heard, learned or been taught.

This was exciting for me to share these excerpts of my personal thoughts. I am not sure how convincing I was, but I tried to make an attempt to describe and identify what a human souls could be. Using only sound reasoning and theoretical rhetoric, I explained what I thought could be the possible characteristics of a human soul. I further explained how we collect our knowledge and discussed how faith is required by every one for this process.

Unfortunately, so many naive people blindly place their faith in things that are not reputable or reliable simply because they heard someone say it. Repeated misrepresentations of false knowledge often times become the cornerstones of ones faith.

Faith is undiscovered Science

All knowledge and science start out with faith in a hypothesis. before the airplan was a dream and vision based on faith. Then we use the scientific methods to create our faith into a manifested reality.
